ICBC ACTIVE REHABILITATION
We provide injury rehabilitation after a car accident. As of April 1st, 2019, ICBC has increased the coverage it provides for its members. As a member, you qualify for 25 physiotherapy sessions and 12 kinesiology sessions in the first 3 months following the date of your accident. If you require further treatment past that point, your therapist will need to reassess you for this and submit this reassessment to ICBC. We work closely as a team of physiotherapists and kinesiologists to make sure you recover as quickly as possible.
_____________
Together our physiotherapy and kinesiology team will assess your injuries and develop a treatment plan. For the first 12 weeks after your crash you can get treatment with the following health care practitioners for the number of treatments below:
Physiotherapist: 25 | Kinesiologist: 12
Our team is able to bill ICBC directly, so you won't have to submit receipts for reimbursement or be out of pocket. Some Physiotherapy fees may exceed amounts covered by ICBC – If you have other insurance coverage (for example, with your employer), it may cover the difference, and we can help with direct billing of these in our clinic.
If you need longer-term care, your recovery may require additional treatment beyond 12 weeks after a crash.
ATHLETE & SPORT SPECIFIC ASSESSSMENTS
Our sport-based therapists are trained to provide thorough, comprehensive assessments with your specific sport in mind. The assessment identifies your specific physical deficits which are related to your technical and physical challenges in your specific sport. This is an essential component of every athlete's training plan. Whether you are starting a new season, a new sport, or just want to ensure you are healthy to play, this assessment is for you.
This comprehensive assessment is designed to identify your physical deficits that may be driving your injury in a particular sport. We assess flexibility, strength, alignment and muscle balance of the entire body. We will provide you with a report of our findings and develop a corrective exercise program for your specific physical limitations related to the demand of your sport. The athlete and sport-specific assessment will help you to improve your performance, prevent injuries, and get the most out of your upcoming season.
