Erin is a graduate of both UBC and the University of Saskatchewan with bachelor degrees in Human Kinetics and Education, and a Master of Physical Therapy. She was awarded the Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada Legacy Research Award and the University of British Columbia Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada Award, both for excellence in research. Erin has a passion for teaching, research and physiotherapy, and combines her skill set by practicing physiotherapy and teaching whenever the opportunity arises. Erin is trained in Functional Dry Needling, has her Level II Manual and Manipulative Therapy, and her FMSA/SFMA Certification. She was a TA for the Master of Physical Therapy program at UBC in the area of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, and more recently was a Human Biology instructor for Thompson Rivers University. Erin further had a passion for running and athletics and competed at the national and intercollegiate level in track and field as an Academic and Athletic All Canadian, and was a CIS and Canada West medallist in distances of 400-800m. She currently is coaching track and field with the Penticton Athletics Track and Field Club, working towards her certifications with BC Athletics. In her free time, Erin competes in triathlons, while also participating in events for a cause, such as the Ride to Survive- a 400km bike ride in 20 hours from Kelowna to Vancouver to raise money for cancer research. You can also find her outside keeping up with her boys and husband skiing downhill and cross country, snowshoeing, swimming, cycling, wake surfing, and just about anything that involves activity. Erin’s goal as a physiotherapist is to do her best to keep her clients healthy so that they can keep doing the activities they love. Sport and outdoor pursuits have been a major part of Erin’s life since she was very young, and she is always willing to try a new activity or sport. She started competing in triathlons so she could keep up with her two very active boys and husband. Erin is excited to be working at FloPhysio as she is passionate about keeping her clients healthy and able to do the activities they love to do.
